Linked-motor synchronization
Multi-section motors operate in unison from one switch. Both sections start at the same time, land at the same time, retract together.

Large Openings
Multi-section assemblies with linked motors for 12+ foot openings. Patio doors, full-width store glass, multi-window facades — all on one wall switch.
A roll shutter on a 16-foot patio opening isn't one shutter — it's typically a two-section assembly with linked motors operating in unison. The bottom rails land together at the floor; the head box runs the full width; the wall switch controls both sections as one shutter. From operation, it's a single device. From engineering, it's a coordinated multi-section assembly.
Custom-fit means we measure your exact opening — including any out-of-square framing on older homes — and build the assembly to fit. No off-the-shelf compromises, no visible gaps when the shutter is deployed.
Reinforced side tracks handle the additional load on wider assemblies. Some configurations include an intermediate vertical post that disappears into the slat curtain when deployed and tucks against the structure when retracted.

Wider slat curtains carry more weight. Reinforced side tracks resist wind load and keep the shutter operating smoothly across decades.
We measure on-site and build to your exact opening. Out-of-square framing on older homes is handled in-shop, not papered over at install.
Head box runs the full width of the opening rather than as separate units per section. Visually clean from the street, structurally rigid.
Sliding patio doors and french-door openings in modern Ontario homes. Two-section assembly is the standard for this size class.
Living room or master bedroom front-facade with three to five large windows. One linked assembly across the whole bank rather than separate shutters per window.
Retail glass facades 16-30 feet wide. Two- or three-section assemblies with linked motors close the whole storefront from a single trigger.
Three steps. No surprises. Most installs ship within 3–4 weeks of the consult.

Custom build at our shop, then a same-day install on your home. You're using the shutters that evening.
Large-opening assemblies cost more than single-window installs in proportion to the linear coverage. A 16-foot patio door with a motorized two-section assembly typically lands in the $8,000-$15,000 range depending on slat gauge, motorization, and smart-home pairing. Commercial spans run higher. The cost scales with width, gauge, and the engineering required to spec the assembly properly.
For bug-free summer evenings and sun control on the patio, our sister site myscreens.ca handles retractable patio screens with insect and solar mesh on a track-mounted system. Same Brantford install crew, different product.
