One hub, your whole platform.
Somfy TaHoma is the smart-home bridge for motorized roll shutters. It plugs into your router and translates between RTS radio (the motor's native protocol) and Wi-Fi / Matter (your phone and smart-home platforms). One TaHoma manages every motorized shutter in the house plus any other Somfy-compatible motors you might add later (awnings, blinds, etc.).
Pair with Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit, IFTTT, or Samsung SmartThings — whichever platform you already use. The shutters become a controllable device alongside your lights, locks, and thermostat.
Schedules run locally on the hub. Once configured, the shutter operates on schedule even if internet drops. Wall switches and handheld remotes still work direct-to-motor. The hub is for the smart layer, not a single point of failure.

Hardware cost typically runs $200-400 depending on capability tier. Installation (pairing motors, configuring schedules and scenes) takes 1-2 hours and is usually included if ordered with the motorized install. Adding later is a service call.
